Iain graduated in 2013 from the Singapore Management University with an LL.B (Hons.) and was thereafter called to the Singapore Bar in 2014.

Commencing his career with Rajah & Tann LLP, Iain started out in the Funds and Investment Management Group, having worked with numerous fund management companies, administrators and investment advisors, and trust fund companies, both locally and globally. He has assisted in ensuring regulatory compliance as well as drafted numerous Subscription Agreements, Private Placing Memorandums and other ancillary documents to ensure regulatory compliance with applicable legislation and regulations in Singapore.

Since his beginnings in Fund Management, Iain has continued to broaden his knowledge of law to a variety of areas including Corporate Real Estate and Conveyancing, handling large scale developments of more than 600 units as well as having assisted in the leaseback of industrial property under JTC's "Sale and Leaseback" scheme.

In addition to Conveyancing and other real estate matters, Iain has been involved in a wide range of civil and matrimonial litigation. Within the area of Family Law, Iain has assisted in proceedings involving contested divorces, division of assets, children issues and maintenance. He has also represented clients in maintenance summons trials. Iain strives to provide for every need a client might require, handling probate matters such as the drafting of wills and obtaining grants of probates and/or letters of administration for his clients.

Applying his knowledge of both corporate and real estate law into the realm of civil and commercial litigation, Iain has had the opportunity to advise clients on various contractual disputes, liquidated claims and disputes between landlords and tenants.

In keeping with the firm's ethos of "Service with a Heart", Iain also provides pro bono advice at the Community Legal Clinic, as well as at monthly "Meet-the-People" sessions in one of Singapore's GRCs.
